Increase with real data
The lowest level of the last 17 months recorded the number of registered unemployed in June 2023, based on seasonally adjusted data, while the highest level of the last two months was the number of unemployed according to the data held at the District Labor Offices.
Specifically, according to the Statistical Service, based on the data held at the District Labor Offices (actual data), the number of registered unemployed in at the end of June 2023, it reached 11,747 persons, which is the highest number since last April.
However, based on seasonally adjusted figures, which show the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed in June 2023 fell to 13,177 persons, compared to 13,241 the previous month, showing the lowest number of unemployed since January 2022.
Compared to June 2022, according to the Statistical Service, there was a decrease of 585 persons or 4.7%, based on the data kept at the District Labor Offices, which is mainly attributed to the trade, accommodation and services sectors catering, construction, public administration, as well as a decrease in new entrants to the labor market.
