Corruption

Cyprus is launching a new grant scheme to help public and private organizations implement the ISO 37001 anti-bribery and anti-corruption standards.

This €2 million initiative is part of the country’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union.

The money will be made available as a grant to approximately 120 public, wider public, and private sector organizations to cover the cost by up to 60% for the private sector, concerning the purchase of consulting services as well as certification services, for the adoption of the ISO Standard.

This guide sets out the categories of eligible organizations, the terms of participation in the scheme, the maximum grant amounts to cover part of the cost regarding the purchase of consulting services as well as certification services, and all the criteria/terms/specifications and the procedures to be applied during the implementation of the scheme.

As noted in an announcement, given that the prevention and fight against corruption are high on the government’s priorities, the Council of Ministers called on the competent Ministers to take all necessary actions to promote participation in the scheme of specific Departments of the Public Service.
