Triumph… of the CYTA Championship in the African Nations Cup!
The group stage of the big event ends on the night with the last matches of the 6th group, but the tickets for the round of 16 have been given and all the representatives of our championship will be there!
The only footballer who plays in Cyprus, participated in the tournament and his national team did not qualify in the round of 16 is the only representative of the 2nd Division, the goalkeeper of Ayia Napa Maurice Gomis, as his national team, Guinea Bissau, finished .

Finished third in the 1st group with four points and passed as one of the four best third teams. He defeated Ethiopia 1-0, lost 1-0 to Burkina Faso and drew 1-1 with Cameroon. Bozinia played key matches with Burkina Faso, Cameroon, in which Semedo also played (change in one, key in the other), while Evora and Delmiro did not play at all. In the first knockout phase he will play against Senegal (25/1).
Nigeria: Francis Ujoho (Omonia)
The only country out of 24 to make it 3/3 (4th group), defeating Egypt (1-0), Sudan (3-1) and Guinea-Bissau (2-0), with Ujoho playing in the final game. At 16 (23/1) he will face the third of the 6th group (Gambia / Mali / Tunisia).
Comoros: Fuad Basirou (Omonia)
They qualified last, as the results of Wednesday in the 4th group and Thursday in the 5th group, made it one of the four best third. They started with defeats by Gabon (1-0) and Morocco (2-0) but the historic victory over Ghana (3-2), their first in a big tournament, gave hope and finally was enough for the qualification. The midfielder of Omonia played in all the games, change (46 ′) in the first and key in the next two. In the round of 16 the Comoros will play against Cameroon (24/1).
Gabon: Alex Mousounda (Mars)
Finished second in the 3rd group, with five points, counting victory over the Comoros (1-0) and draws with Ghana (1-1) and Morocco (2-2). The young ace of Mars played in the second (change) and the third game (basic). Knock-outs against Burkina Faso begin (23/1).
