Electricity has been sold daily to the t/k community through the interconnected electricity network for a few days now, due to the problem that occurred at the power station in the occupied Bank of Kyrenia.
As informs KYPE, on average 40 MW are sold per day at a price of 0.40 dollars per kilowatt hour and payment will be made on a weekly basis for as long as necessary. (El Sen) had revealed that the “principle of electricity” asked the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus for the sale of electricity to meet its needs and that there is only fuel left for 3 days.
Today the “deputy general manager” of the “authority”, Dalman Aydin, confirmed that the fuel available at the power station in the occupied Bank of Kyrenia is sufficient for 3 days, but saying that they have made arrangements so that the available fuel will cover the needs until the ship arrives with the new cargo, which is expected on Monday at the latest.
He also said that the power outages the other day, which were long, were not due to lack of fuel but due to network failures.
