Decree of the Minister Agriculture for operators of unlicensed facilities

The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment issued a new decree regarding the submission of an annual report for unlicensed facilities, in the context of the Laws on the Control of Atmospheric Pollution.

According to an official announcement, in the context of the Atmospheric Pollution Control Laws from 2002 to 2021, the Minister of Agriculture exercising the powers provided to him by Regulation 6 (1) of the Atmospheric Pollution Control (Unlicensed Facilities) Regulations of 2004 to 2021, issued the Atmospheric Pollution Control (Unlicensed Facilities) (Annual Report) Decree of 2022.

Pursuant to these Regulations, the operators of unlicensed installations are required to submit an annual report.

Unlicensed installations refer to ready-mixed concrete production facilities, installations in which grinding, sieving, transporting, mixing, storage, packaging, drying or other physical processing and low-power combustion plants (<1 MW) are carried out.

It is noted that according to the Regulations, the operators of low power (<1 MW) of combustion plants, are exempted from the obligation to submit an annual report.

The annual report must be submitted to the Department of Environment by the end of March each year by the operators of unlicensed installations and must include data for the previous year.

It is noted that the Atmospheric Pollution Control (Unlicensed Facilities) (Annual Report) Decree of 2019 is repealed.
