The importance of the introduction of the Delf Scolaire French language certification in Cyprus and the opportunities for young people were emphasized by the Minister of Education Prodromos Prodromou and the Ambassador of France Salina Grenet-Catalano, in a greeting on Monday evening at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation and the awarding of Delf Scolaire diplomas, at the Pallas Garden Theater in Nicosia.

Both referred to the visit of the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis to Paris next week, during which, as they said, the educational cooperation between the two will also be reviewed countries.
Mr. Prodromou mentioned that the certification program in public schools was piloted last year, as part of the reform, and was embraced by teachers and students with very good results.
He stated that the certification process is now the culmination of the changes in secondary education with the introduction of two foreign languages in the direction of multilingualism which is followed throughout Europe.
Mr. Prodromou noted that this certification opens for our new gateways abroad with communication skills and is a valuable passport for our graduates wishing to study in France.
