The National Strategy for the Development of Mountain Communities reaches Paphos. Two years after its announcement and practical implementation by the Troodos region, the plan now covers the mountainous areas of Paphos with a planning of tens of actions and a budget of tens of millions of euros. Speaking last week in Statos, the Commissioner, Costas Hambiaouris, stressed that the expansion of the National Strategy for the Development of Mountain Communities, prepared by the University of Thessaly and its collaborators, is expected to be completed in February 2023. In this context, he announced, The strategy will also cover areas where there were no interventions in its initial stages, such as the province of Paphos.

The National Strategy for the Development of Troodos Mountain Communities (ESAOK), includes a total of over 350 actions, with a deadline of implementation until the end of 2030, as well as a detailed action plan with specific projects, prioritized and costed, with a total budget of over 525 million euros .
