He added that the Speaker of the Parliament stalled the escalating challenges of the Turkish side, including the opening of the enclosed area of Famagusta, stressing that these actions are a key blow to the efforts to resume substantive talks on the Cyprus issue.

The Georgian Ambassador reaffirmed his country's support for the efforts to reach a solution to the Cyprus problem.

According to the statement, the meeting highlighted the very good relations between Cyprus and Georgia, based on common religious and cultural ties and the common will of the two countries and their Parliaments to further strengthen cooperation between them. through enhanced interparliamentary exchanges, when conditions allow and exchanged views on the situation in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic and the evolution of the vaccination program in both countries.
