The mediating proposal of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance for the renewal of the collective agreement in the hotel industry, “needs further processing”, the Director General of PASYXE Filokypros Rousounidis told KYPE, who stated that the proposal is not 100% satisfactory to PASYXE.< /p>
Invited to take a position on the proposal, which was delivered on Thursday, to the trade unions SEK, PEO and the professional associations of the hoteliers STEK and PASYXE, Mr. Rousounidis “it is too early to take a position on the proposal”, the which “needs further processing”.
“As a first reaction, we are certainly not 100% satisfied, but everything is in the sphere of discussion”, he noted.
The DG of PASYXE said that the collective bodies and the Board of Directors of the Association will meet so that we can process the proposal in further detail and submit our opinion as soon as possible”.
He added that “there is an opportunity to submit our views on the proposal until September 11”, which is the final date set by the Director of the Labor Relations Department of the Ministry, Andis Apostolou, for the positions of each side to be given.
He stated that he hopes that the Board will be able to meet by the beginning of the second week of September so that the final decisions of PASYXE can be made. the proposal, Mr. Rousounidis said that there are some points that “need further processing and possibly discussion with the stakeholders”.

“There are several issues that leave us no room for us to agree on the overall package of the mediation proposal” of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance for the renewal of the collective agreement in the hotel industry, the General Secretary of SYXKA – PEO Neophytos Timinis told KYPE.
Mr. Timinis said that after receiving the proposal, today, from the Ministry, the Secretariat of the guild made an in-principle discussion about its content.
“There are issues which unfortunately seem not to be ensured to the extent they should be to be implemented for all employees by all hoteliers,” he added.
The General Secretary of SYXKA – PEO also said that a session of the Board of Directors of the guild has been convened next Monday, in the afternoon, to inform the House, adding that during the session “we will also make our final decisions”.
“The position that will be taken will be on the entire mediation proposal”, he concluded.
