The students of the 3rd Lyceum of Agios Ioannis, in Limassol, were left out of their classes today, after a disturbance caused by the rapid test results they underwent. About 40 to 50 tests, of students and teachers, were positive while in a repeat test they were negative.
The incident was recorded in the morning, the President of the Limassol School Ephorate, Dinos Ellinas, told KYPE, who said that, according to the information received from the school management, a large number of students and teachers were positive for the coronavirus.
The students, as they mentioned in their statements to the media, informed their families and the upset that was caused was great, while after a repeated check it was found that there was no positive incident at the school.
As a sign of protest for the incident, the students of the 3rd Lyceum remained outside their classrooms, while smoke was thrown in the area of the stadium and a police force was called.
However, the students clarified that the smoke is not related to the incident but is their custom for Swan Thursday.
