The initiative of the UN Secretary General for a tripartite meeting, constitutes a critical stage in the effort to restart substantial negotiations in the agreed framework for a solution to the Cyprus problem, states in a statement issued by DISY.
“We must act immediately, coordinated and decisively. We support every effort that moves in this direction, with the goal of breaking the deadlock” it is emphasized.
“We welcome the immediate and positive response of the President of the Republic and we hope that there will be similar positive will from the Turkish Cypriot side”.
