There were strong reactions yesterday on social media from dog owners and people who volunteer at dog shelters.
In a question posed by politis.com.cy, the competent Minister Costas Kadis told us that an agreement was reached today and dog owners will not need to send a message to “8998”. All they have to do is have an ID and a proof of address, for example a house account.
“The dog is proof”, Mr. Kadis told us and stressed that the Government understands that this is also a problem for a large portion of citizens for this and there is a facility.

Regarding the shelters and the traffic ban from 9 pm to 6 am, the Minister told us that “volunteers can use the form A because they are considered employees and are not affected”.
Do you think that the distance that the owner is allowed to take the dog for a walk is reasonable, ie around the square of his house or in a field near his permanent residence.
