The Minister of Justice Stefi Drakou issued an announcement about the conclusion regarding the Central Prisons.
Ms. Drakou notes that he studied the findings concerning the Central Prisons and submitted recommendations to President Anastasiades.

As announced by the Deputy Governor Representative, the meeting called by the President of the Republic on matters concerning the Department of Prisons has been postponed.
However, I would like to inform you that I have studied the conclusion and the letter sent to me by the Attorney General of the Republic and subsequently I have held meetings both with the Directorate of Prisons and with the Assistant Attorney General.
As a result of the consultations I had, I submitted in writing to the President of the Republic my thoughts and suggestions, regarding this specific issue.
However, I would not like to comment further on the substance of the proposals, respecting the President of the Republic and those who will participate in the above meeting, during which the final decisions will be taken phases.
