“Desperate appeal” to the President of the Republic, to increase the physical presence of employees who continue to work to 25% (from 15%) without setting a maximum number, address employers and professional groups with a joint letter.
In their letter to the President of the Republic, which was made public, it is also pointed out that this percentage “is the minimum that can ensure the satisfactory operation of the affected entities”.
“As the head of the following organizations and professional bodies, we desperately appeal to you to approve the physical presence in each professional establishment, up to 25% of the employees who are normally housed, without setting a maximum number. This percentage is the minimum that can ensure the satisfactory operation of the affected entities and the strict implementation of the Protocols will ensure the effectiveness of anti-virus measures in the workplace. Note that the corresponding allowed percentage in Greece is twice -50% “, the letter states.
The letter is signed by the presidents of the Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB), the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), the Association of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (SELK), the Cyprus Maritime Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCC) .
It is reminded that according to the last decree, in the private companies / services that remain in operation, teleworking is promoted, with regulation for simultaneous physical presence of 15% of their staff, with a maximum number of employees, which can be physically present 20 people per professional estate.
