Due to the severe weather conditions prevailing in the areas of the Limassol – Paphos and Larnaca – Kofinou highways, the Police advises the drivers to be especially careful.
In the above areas there are very strong winds and heavy rainfall. Drivers are required to drive at low speeds, to maintain safe distances from the vehicles in front and to have the traffic lights of their vehicles on.
At the same time, due to snowfall in the mountainous areas, the roads Karvouna – Troodos, Platron – Troodos, Prodromou – Troodos, Pedoula – Prodromou and Pedoula – Pinewood – Agios Nikolaos – Kakopetria are open only for vehicles equipped with anti-skid chains or with all-wheel drive.
