The issue of the economic bleeding of Paphos public transport from the pandemic that has been going on for a year now is becoming more and more important. Although the public transport sector is not at the forefront of the news, it nevertheless records significant losses.
For months, the Paphos Transport Organization (OSYPA) has been seeing a reduction in congestion on its routes leading to a corresponding rapid reduction in revenue, as more and more citizens and students, fearing the spread of the virus, avoid traveling by public transport, while the lock in his schools deprived the main “customers” for quite some time this year, as of course the interruption in the arrival of tourists in Cyprus.
Information from “F” states that the situation is not yet marginal for the company, as was done during the first wave, however the indications are not auspicious for the future.
