By quoting an excerpt from the decision of the Court, EDEK responds to the “Initiative Group for Salvation and Reorganization of EDEK” which today again demanded the resignation of Marinos Sizopoulos from the position of party president.
Specifically, the announcement states:
Instead of responding to the announcement of the so-called “Initiative Group for the Salvation of EDEK” we quote an excerpt from the decision of the Court: “[…] In view of the above case-law, I am of the opinion and therefore consider that the interim injunction should be annulled due to, on the one hand, concealment by the Plaintiffs of essential facts and, on the other hand, incomplete and honest presentation of the facts surrounding this case. […] In breach of those principles, the applicants did not present the essential facts of the present case in a fair and honest manner, and at the same time did not disclose to the Court substantive facts which could have played a role in its judgment during the unilateral examination of the application […] '.
