The EDY decided today the immediate termination of the availability of the Director of Veterinary Services Christodoulos Pipis, who has already returned to his duties, as stated in his announcement.
As noted, the EDY decided, according to with the provisions of article 85 (1B) (b) of the Public Service Law, the reasons put before it by the competent authority as well as the objections/representations that Mr. Pipis submitted through the Law Office of A&AK Emilianidis, K Katsaros & DEPE Partners "the immediate termination of his availability and therefore he regains, based on said provision, all the powers and benefits that were suspended by virtue of subsection (3) of the specific article".
"With today's decision regarding its new decision from 22/12/2022 to suspend the Director of Veterinary Services until 17/1/2023, following a new request from the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment (YGAAP), due to the disciplinary investigation process requested by the management of YGAAP as a result of the Brucellosis incident that occurred in cattle breeding in Athianou which is ongoing, the EDY decided, according to with the provisions of article 85 (1B) (b) of the Public Service Law, the reasons put before it by the competent authority as well as the objections/representations he submitted through the Law Office of A&AK Emilianidis, K. Katsaros & ; Partners DEPE the immediate termination of the availability of and therefore he regains, based on the provision in question, all the powers and benefits that were suspended by virtue of subsection (3) of the specific article,'' the announcement states.
It is added that "the Director of Veterinary Medicine Services were represented by lawyers Achilleas Emilianidis, Louis Markou and Sonia Tsachidou. The Director of Veterinary Services has already returned to his duties», the announcement concludes.
