September 18 is a day of remembrance, as today, exactly eight years ago, Pavlos Fyssas is cold-bloodedly killed by the knife of the goldsmith George Roupakias.

This year's commemorations are different, as while the previous ones demanded the condemnation of Golden Dawn, now the criminal organization of Michaloliakos is in prison.
Today, Saturday at 17:30, an anti-fascist rally will take place at 60 Pavlou Fyssa Street, Keratsini. Yesterday, a big concert was held for the eight years since the murder of Pavlos Fyssas, in the new area of the Fertilizers of the Municipality of Keratsini-Drapetsona.
The chronicle of the fateful night
On September 17, 2013, Pavlos Fyssas, his partner and their company went to watch a football match. In the cafe “Coralli” there were members of the Golden Dawn who recognized in the face of Fyssas from his anti-fascist action.
The information about the presence of Fyssas reaches the upper echelons of the criminal organization in an organized manner, with the nuclear chief of Nikaia, George Patelis, giving the signal of the attack to the ATHEX members via computer. Until that time, he contacted Giannis Lagos seven times by phone.
A few minutes before the clock struck 12, the 50-man assault battalion with batons headed for the Coralli cafeteria. Pavlos Fyssas instructs his friends to leave and stays behind. A fight ensues.
Giorgos Roupakias gets out of his car with the knife, approaches Pavlos Fyssas and stabs him 3 times, in the left lung and in the heart. However, he manages to show his killer to the police, who is arrested at the scene.
While he was already in custody, Roupakias telephoned the chief of Nicaea, George Patelis, who then informed Giannis Lagos by telephone. Nikos Michaloliakos sent an SMS to Lagos, who called Michaloliakos and then Patelis. Patelis then contacted Roupakias by phone again three times.
The next morning after the murder, police investigations were carried out at the ATHEX offices in Attica.
In an audio recording of a telephone conversation at noon of the same day, Lagos is heard together with Michaloliakos and Kasidiaris advising the ATHEX executive, Sotiris Develekos, to claim that he does not know Roupakias, if he is called by the authorities.
The investigation and the persecution
On the occasion of Fyssa's murder, the great investigation begins. On September 29, 2013, the leadership of Chrysi Avgi was arrested, led by Nikos Michaloliakos and Ilias Kasidiaris, Giannis Lagou, Ilias Panagiotarou, Nikos Michos and other party officials, who are accused of forming a criminal organization.
After a 9-month investigation, the Board of Appeals decided to refer 69 gold diggers, including the Golden Dawn parliamentary group, as it emerged in the 2012 elections. The murder of Pavlos Fyssas is part of the indictment. The 34-year-old musician with his blood seals the end of the neo-Nazi formation.
