Heavy traffic jam is observed in the afternoon on the Nicosia highway & # 8211; Limassol, for which the Police announced yesterday that a specific department will be closed due to works.
The road was closed at 12 noon on Sunday, from the exit to Latsia to the entrance from the Industrial area of Idali in the first phase and until the entrance from Kotsiatis to the second phase. The works are being carried out in the context of the Construction of the Nicosia Perimeter Highway.
The traffic from Nicosia to Limassol is channeled through the exit to Latsia to the old Nicosia – Limassol road. Drivers will be able to return to the highway, in the first phase until 5.00 in the afternoon, through the entrance to the Industrial Area of Idali and in the second phase, from 5.00 in the afternoon, until 12.00 in the evening, through the entrance to the Kotsiatis area. The works are expected to be completed at 12.00 pm, with the section of the highway being opened to traffic at the same time.
