The personal envoy of the UN Secretary General for Cyprus, Maria Angela Holguín Quellar, begins her visit to Cyprus on Monday morning with a meeting with Colin Stewart, Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus.
According to information, Ms. Holguín will have full-day talks with Mr. Stewart on Monday. and with the Good Services team. She and Mr Stewart will discuss the situation on the island.
In the afternoon, she will be in consultation with the good services team in preparation for Tuesday's meetings.
Ms Holguin she is expected to have separate meetings on Tuesday with President Nikos Christodoulidis and Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar.
She arrived in Cyprus on Sunday night for a ten-day visit, her first since being appointed by the UN Secretary General.
