ESK calls journalists to union vigilance

The Cyprus Editors Union (ESK) calls journalists to union vigilance. According to an announcement by the ESK, an internal regulation communicated to all its staff by the “The Libertarian” Journalistic Organization substantially, arbitrarily and unilaterally differentiated basic provisions of the collective agreements of the employees.

According to the announcement, the Mediation Service of the Ministry of Labor has already been informed about the whole incident, “which we hope that he will put things in their place since the collective agreements are differentiated only through consultations and dialogue of the social partners and not arbitrarily and unilaterally”.

The ESK, finally, calls on all journalists, wherever they work, where similar phenomena and incidents are observed, to report them to the ESK so that they can be managed accordingly, responsibly, collectively and as efficiently as possible.
