Suspension of the 24-hour strike, which had been announced for next Tuesday, was decided by ETYK, after & nbsp; intervention of Averof Neophytos, while at the same time the Hellenic Bank withdrew & nbsp; its intention for surpluses. Therefore & nbsp; the two sides are going to sit at the dialogue table.
As ETYK states in its announcement, “the & nbsp; General Secretariat of ETYK in today's session evaluated the proposal/suggestion of the President of DISY Mr. Averof Neophytou regarding the problems that have arisen in the Hellenic Bank.
According to the essence of Averof Neophytos' proposal, the two sides, & nbsp; ETYK and the Management of the Hellenic Bank, are called upon to withdraw the threats from both sides and to come to the dialogue table in good faith, based on & nbsp; the existing institutions and procedures.
Based on the proposal of Mr. Averof Neophytou, ETYK must suspend the strike measures planned for next Tuesday, 31/5/2022 (24-hour warning strike at Hellenic Bank) and at the same time Hellenic Bank withdraw its decision on redundancies (surpluses).
After the leadership of ETYK took into account ALL the parameters and data of the moment and especially that based on the above the threat of dismissals (redundancies) is removed, for the employees of Hellenic Bank and respecting the institutions, the procedures but also the existing Collective Agreements and laws decided:
- Suspension of the measures (24-hour warning strike) that had been decided for 31/5/2022. The above suspension is valid given that the Management of the Hellenic Bank accepts and implements the proposal of Mr. Averof Neophytos.
All the above were decided based on the proposal/request of Mr. Averof Neophytou to give the opportunity to seek a way out of the problem away from threats and blackmail.
At the same time, the leadership of ETYK feels the obligation and away from party congratulations to Mr. Averof Neophytou for the initiative and to thank him for his substantial involvement.
