Eurobank Cyprus has successfully completed the certification process of its Environmental Management System, in accordance with the principles of the international standard ISO 14001:2015, after being inspected by a recognized Certification Body, which is accredited by the National Accreditation System (ESYD) and a member of the International Network IQNet Certification Bodies.
The scope of certification covers all the services offered by Eurobank Cyprus in its buildings throughout Cyprus (Head Offices and 8 Branches), which include the provision of an integrated range of financial products and services to individuals and businesses. It is an international standard for the management of environmental systems that has been established by the International Organization for Standardization and is a key tool to support businesses and organizations in the effort to manage environmental impacts and the continuous improvement of environmental performance.
The ISO 14001 certification is for the Bank the culmination of its long-term commitment to environmental protection, continuous improvement of its environmental performance, reduction of its environmental footprint, while at the same time proving its full compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and high-level environmental standards . Eurobank Cyprus' commitment to environmental protection, sustainable and sustainable development is an integral part and key pillar of its social responsibility and an important parameter of the Bank's strategy. This certification will act as a guide for the adoption of a holistic approach to the specific issue, with a view to the continuous reduction of the impact of its activities on the environment, the upgrading of environmental performance through improvement programs, the effective management of energy and resource consumption and further deepening the effort to shape and promote an environmental culture among the staff members of Eurobank Cyprus.
