Two people, aged 20 and 27, appeared before the Nicosia District Court today, for offenses related to the law on the prevention and suppression of violence in sports venues.
Specifically, these are two persons who were found to be in possession of a lit flare, during the football match, between the teams OMONIA – ANORTHOSI, which was held at GSP on 4/5/2022.
Regarding The 20-year-old was brought before the Court for the offenses related to the transfer of an offensive weapon to a sports venue, the use of a dangerous object during a match in a sports venue and the transfer of an offensive weapon to the immediately adjacent sports area.
The case was set for hearing on 3/6/2022, while until its trial, an exclusion order was issued against the 20-year-old, which prohibits him from entering any stadium or sports event. The 20-year-old was released on a 2,000-euro bail with a debt guarantor or to deposit the sum of 1,000 euros in cash.
and use of a dangerous object during a race in a sports field and the case was heard immediately. For the first category, the Court committed the 27-year-old with a guarantee of 500 euros to comply with the laws and regulations for 24 months from today, while for the second category, the obligation with a guarantee of 300 euros to comply with the laws and regulations for 24 months from today.
At the same time, the 27-year-old, with an exclusion decree issued against him, is prohibited from entering for the next six months, in any match or sporting event or in sports venues.
