Latest information from politis.com.cy from police sources, states that the fetus was located by a man who visited his father's grave in the cemetery. The same information states that the fetus was buried ten days ago, by an undertaker, to whom the fetus was delivered by a Private Clinic of the Free Province of Famagusta.

An embryo placed in a bag was found in the afternoon, temporarily buried in the Paralimni cemetery.
According to the Police, around 4 in the afternoon, a citizen located in a bag an embryo that was temporarily buried in the cemetery of Paralimni.
The Police and the Medical Examiner were immediately notified while members of the Force went to the Cemetery and received the bag with the fetus, which was sent to the morgue of the General Hospital of Nicosia.
A legal autopsy is expected to show the cause of death of the fetus.
The Police started investigations and examinations in order to locate the place where the fetus came from and was temporarily buried in the cemetery.
The case is being investigated by the Famagusta TAE.
