EY announced the launch of the EY Academy of Learning and Development. The announcement was made during an event held on November 2, 2023 at Lemon Park in Nicosia.
The EY Academy of Learning and Development is a training hub through which EY and all its service areas work more closely with their clients on their training and learning initiatives. The Academy will provide a wide range of services in three areas – training solutions, digital learning and capacity building solutions. At the event we also showcased EY's brand new building in Nicosia, equipped with state-of-the-art multipurpose training rooms, where many of the EY Academy of Learning & Development.
The EY Academy of Learning and Development is set to reshape the world of professional development by focusing on the critical role of continuous learning and improving the skills of professionals. Yesterday's event was attended by EY clients and top executives from companies based in Cyprus, including CEOs, CFOs and HR Directors.
The event started with a greeting from the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Mr. Yiannis Panagiotou, who applauded the visionary initiative of EY and congratulated this initiative. He emphasized the imperative need for lifelong learning and continuous upskilling to address the global challenge of labor shortages.
Christine E. Kowal, Director of the EY Academy of Learning & Development, warmly welcomed the attendees and expressed her deep gratitude for their support in introducing this educational platform in Cyprus.
Panagiotis Thrasyvoulou, Partner, Head of HR Advisory Services at EY Cyprus and Managing Partner of the EY Academy of Learning and Development, spoke about the driving force behind EY's initiative in the field of education, while also describing the strategic importance of learning, both for EY clients as well as for the wider community of Cyprus.
