The Municipality of Paphos is proceeding with the construction of student residences, according to the Mayor of Paphos Phaidonas Phaidonos.
In his announcement, Mr. Phaidonos notes that it is the first time in Cyprus that student dormitories will be built by the Municipality.
As stated on a piece of land purchased by the Municipality of Paphos, a dormitory with 203 student rooms will be erected with funds from the Municipality of Paphos, next to the building's facilities of TEPAK in Paphos.
Mr Phaidonos added that the plans are almost ready and tenders will soon be announced for the contractor.
Paphos , he said, will build its future on solid foundations, noting at the same time that university education is the crown of the pillars of development throughout the world.
