Fifty new cases of coronavirus were reported in the occupied areas on Tuesday out of a total of 5,103 tests performed in the last 24 hours.
In a written statement, “Minister of Health” Ali Pilli states that one passenger was found positive at the airport, 17 people were confirmed contact cases and 32 positive results are related to infections within the community.
He adds that 11 are from Nicosia, 26 from Kyrenia, 3 from Famagusta, 6 from Morphou and 3 from Trikomo.
The total number of people infected with the coronavirus in the occupied territories is 2,884 while 16 people have died from Covid-19 disease.
