Paphos Police are investigating a case of dog theft.
According to the Police, a case of theft of hunting dogs from the area of Petra tou Romiou was reported by a breeder to the Police.
The owner of a livestock farm in the area of Petra tou Romiou complained to the Police that the theft of dogs occurred at regular intervals in recent months, while some of those he kept in the cages of his estate belonged to his friends.
The complainant therefore, together with his friends, placed surveillance cameras outside the cages, locating the perpetrator.
Members of TAE Paphos went to the scene and further examinations revealed that the alleged perpetrator is a 50-year-old resident of Geroskipou.
A search conducted by the Paphos Police on the premises of the 50-year-old allegedly identified two of the dogs that had been stolen. The 50-year-old was arrested and detained.
The examinations are continued by the Paphos Police.
