In a game with no points of interest but with many goals and enough spectacle, APOEL beat Aris 4-3 with Kingsley Sarfo as the absolute star who scored a hat-trick. The “blue and yellow” ended the year in a positive way by achieving their first victory in the league this year against the “Light Brigade”.

First Half

The first good condition in the game was for APOEL in the 5th minute. After an excellent ball from Satsia, Ilias found himself in a shooting position but Musuda caught up with the Cypriot forward and kicked it into the corner.

The visitors threatened in the 7th minute with a header by Sikorski, which however was quite weak and ended up in the arms of Christodoulou.

Vladan Milojevic's team lost a classic phase in the very next minute with Kvilitaia. Ferrari found Georgian inside the area but the latter, despite his good descent, then sent the ball out with a powerful shot.

Aris found the goal at 12' with Stepinksi. After a counter-attack, Brown served to the Pole, who within the area set Christodoulou in an exemplary manner.

The “blue and yellow” managed to immediately equalize the game thanks to an accurate penalty kick by Sacias in the 19th minute. Ferrari won the penalty after being overturned by Mediup.

Indeed, APOEL turned the match around in the 23rd minute with a terrific goal by Sarfo, who with a shot on the move left Sofroniou a “statue”.

Aris then took the lead again with two goals in four minutes. Initially, in the 26th minute, Stepniksi, unmarked at the second post after a corner kick, pushed the ball into the empty net. This was followed by Sikorski's excellent, high-hanging place inside the area for 2-3.

The home team reacted immediately again. In the 33rd minute, Sarfo with a “no look” heel, surprised Sofroniou, who saw the ball end up slowly and painfully in the net.

In the 44th minute, Kvilitaia missed a unique opportunity to give the team the lead again. of. The Georgian with a close header after a foul by Satsia sent the ball out.

Nothing changed in the remaining minutes with 3-3 remaining until the end, a score that we rarely see in the first half of a match.

Second Half

The second part started with the best omens. APOEL turned the match around for the second time in the 49th minute with Sarfos who scored a hat-trick. The Ghanaian with a nice dribbling pass inside the area left Sofroniou no room to react.

The “blue and yellow” threatened again in the 52nd minute with a shot by Satsias which, however, was blocked by the Aris keeper without difficulty.

APOEL had possession of the ball and dominated the field, however, it was difficult to break down the defense of the visitors.

Aris recorded his first final in the second half in the 69th minute. Zoke tried to threaten with a shot on the move outside the area but the ball went just over the crossbar. Two minutes later, Kakorin made the cross from the left side with Christodoulou collecting the ball very easily.

In the remaining minutes, the visitors showed more energy but did not find the clear phases to equalize.
