Actor, producer and director James Hong has earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles after six decades of film career.
The Chinese-American actor, who has appeared in 469 television series, feature films, 32 short films and 22 video games and has co-starred with stars such as Clark Gable who became the oldest star to earn a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“I am here! I am alive!” said the 93-year-old to the audience who attended the ceremony, adding that he had not planned a speech because he is not used to it, according to an article in the LA Times.

Kim points out that the names of actors from Asia and the Pacific Islands on Hollywood Walk of Fame are less than 1 % and that the Hong star is added to those of Anna May Wong, Mako, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu.
“Although this number is very low,” Kim said, “it underscores the need to honor each and every one of us who has had the good fortune to be recognized,” Curtis said. “A hilarious shooting presence,” he said, adding: “It's time to honor James Hong with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame.” Born in Minnesota, Hong began his career early 1950s and refers to himself as “probably the only living guy who has collaborated with Groucho Marx”.
