“At 05:05 the evacuation of Pentelis Children started and was completed with immediate and coordinated movements at 05:58”, the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, says in his post, explaining how and in which nursing institutions there were evacuations.
< p>According to the minister, from the Pentelis Children's Hospital, “19 children (ambulatory cases) and 8 attendants with 3 staff members were transported by coach of the Municipality of Pentelis to the Ag. Children's Hospital. Sunday.
Also, 5 children who were hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit were transported to the units of the Children's Hospitals of Ag. Kyriakou and Children Ag. Sophia. The General Secretary of Health Services, the Governor of the Hospital as well as the Director and Deputy Director of the 1st Ministry of Health rushed to the scene.
The fire has been removed and the Penteli Children's Hospital is structurally safe”.
Evacuation of KY Rafina and former PIKPA
The minister adds that “The Rafina KY was evacuated at 05:30, from where 4 personnel moved by the same means.
< p>At the same time, the Penteli Child Protection Unit (formerly P.I.K.P.A.) was evacuated from where 35 guests and staff were moved. The Ministry of Health remains on the alert and follows the instructions of Civil Protection”.

“We had heart problems”
The president of the Red Cross, Antonis Avgerinos, speaking to MEGA, said that the situation is very difficult. “We had too many respiratory problems, tears, minor burns, minor injuries both with the Fire Department personnel and with our fellow citizens, who could not easily leave their homes.”
“Since yesterday afternoon at around 4:30 p.m. our children, the volunteers, as well as the permanent nursing staff have been on the ramparts of duty” Mr. Avgerinos emphasized, among other things, and added: “We had heart problems which were dealt with in a timely manner with the mobile health unit, with our nurses who have enormous expertise, equipment, everything, offering throughout the night everything they could and how they could.”
“You don't know where to you are first”
“Of course there are many fronts, you don't know where to first, added Mr. Avgerinos. “But we are constantly on the move.” Now they are leaving Dau Pentelis and Military 414 and heading towards Varnava where there is still a difficult situation”.
The mobile unit is there and “any of our fellow citizens who need some help contact us to run as we did yesterday with the evacuation of people who were trapped” added Mr. Avgerinos.
