Greece exclusively requests the assistance of ground motorized and air forces
The Cypriot mission will not be sent, as was foreseen, to Athens to help extinguish the fires raging in Attica , according to a post by the Government Spokesperson, Konstantinos Letympiotis on X/Thitter. According to what Mr. Letymiotis posted, due to the fact that the data on the ground as they are at the moment, they differentiated Greece's request to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, exclusively requesting the assistance of ground motorized and air forces. As a result, he adds, the Cypriot mission will not eventually move to Attica. However, the Greek Government expressed its warm thanks to the Republic of Cyprus for the immediate response to the previous request.
