“Flight of Love” for an aerial excursion of 150 children with autism (pics)

Today, Tuesday, November 1st, 2022, a special air excursion flight for children with autism called “Flight Agapis”, which was attended by the honorable Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Mr. Yannis Karousos with his wife Maria Karousos.

The flight was organized by the Flight Safety Foundation-MED in collaboration with the Cypriot company TUS Airlines. The flight was attended by more than 150 children from all Autism structures as well as from all the cities of Cyprus along with their companions. The purpose of the flight was to acquaint these children with both the airport areas and the plane flight for a beautiful and unique experience.

In his statements, Mr. Karousos said that he is particularly happy about the Love Flight that is taking place today, as it promotes awareness of the topic of autism. Both  Mr. Minister and his wife are aware of the problems faced by parents of children with autism and characterized them as “modern heroes” while noting that both he and his family will always be next to these children for support and whatever they need either in political or personal level. At the same time, the Minister, referring to today's flight, stated that “it is a pioneering action that will bring great joy to children with autism and their parents”.

Mr. Karousos thanks all the participants for their commendable act and especially TUS Airlines, Flight Safety Foundation and Hermes Group, as with these actions the issue of autism is promoted in Cyprus.

Finally, he called on other companies and organizations as part of their social responsibility to organize similar initiatives aimed at raising awareness and promoting autism in Cyprus.
