Free card for bus transportation for beneficiaries of low-income allowance announced by the Ministry of Transport.
Specifically, the Ministry of Social Welfare and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works inform that, within the framework of the Social Policy included in the Notification of Fees of the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, the beneficiaries of the Low Retirement Allowance can benefit Regular Bus Lines, provided they provide the personalized smart card (MotionBusCard).
Specifically, the MotionBusCard is issued to retirees who are beneficiaries of the Low Income Retirement Assistance Plan with the necessary presentation at the points of sale/issue of the following:
Identity card or Passport for identification purposes, Ministry of Labor and Employment Card, , Letter of approval of the Low Retirement Benefit from the Welfare Allowance Management Service.
The MotionBusCard is issued at ticket sales/ticketing points with a demonstration of the old Low Retirement Card sent by the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Security or the letter of approval as beneficiaries of the Low Retirement Allowance to those who do not have a Beneficiary. the card of the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance or the letter of approval of the beneficiary of the Low Retirement Benefit, they can apply for the issuance of a certificate of the beneficiary of the Low Retirement Benefit through:
- Letter to the address of the Welfare Allowance Management Service at the address: Themistokli Dervi 46, 1066 Nicosia, or Fax to the number 22 803 048, or E-mail to the address eee@mlsi.gov.cy with the subject “Certificate of Beneficiary of Low Retirement Benefit”.
For the convenience of low-income retirees, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works and the Ministry of Social Welfare are in contact to find an alternative method of confirming these beneficiaries.
It is clarified that retirees who receive any assistance for transportation by Public Passenger Transportation on Regular Bus Lines, through the Retirement Assistance Plan, are not entitled to issue/use the free MotionBusCard.
Tels, for better service purposes beneficiaries, has been extended until May 31, 2022 for the issuance of the free MotionBusCard, while, following instructions from the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Mr. Giannis Karousos and the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare Ms. Anastasia Anthousis, the cost of € 5 for the issue of MotionBusCard will not be paid by the beneficiaries of the above policy .
