An initial investigation into the charges against the 72-year-old actor was unsuccessful due to a lack of evidence, but later the investigation was reopened with criminal charges against Depardieu. A year later the allegations of the actress were rejected but then the alleged victim of the famous French actress resumed the procedures for the investigation of the events. Departie's lawyer Herve Temim said yesterday that the actor, who is free but under judicial supervision, completely denies the charges.
Although the name of the actress has not been made known so far, the French media reveal that the French actress hurried to file a lawsuit against him on August 27, 2018, a few days after she was raped at his home. According to an unnamed source, “the young woman was at her mother's house when she felt bad about what happened and then her mother persuaded her to file a complaint against him.”
For her part, the lawyer of the French actress, Elodie Tuayon Ibon, hopes, as she said, that “the privacy of her client will be respected”, as the case develops.
