The Office of the Commissioner for the Regulation of Electronic Communications and Posts (GERIET) urges Cypriot mobile subscribers to consult their providers in order to be informed about the current roaming charges within the United Kingdom after Brexit.
According to a statement from the Office, after 31 December 2020, when the transition period for the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union (BREXIT) expired, the United Kingdom is now a third country in relation to the application of Regulation 531 / 2012 concerning roaming on public mobile networks within the European Union.
The Communications Commissioner urges Cypriot subscribers who intend to visit the United Kingdom before starting their journey to consult their providers in order to be informed about the current roaming charges within the United Kingdom.
