Today the weather will be partly cloudy and temporarily mostly cloudy and isolated, mostly light, rains and light snowfall are expected in the higher mountains. The winds will initially blow mainly southwesterly 3 Beaufort, to gradually become southwesterly to northwesterly moderate 4 and early in the afternoon locally on the south coast to strong 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little turbulent. The temperature will rise to around 16 degrees inland and on the north coast, around 17 on the rest of the coast and around 7 in the higher mountains.
Tonight there will be increased clouds that are expected to give local rains mainly in the western half of the island and snow in the higher mountains. The winds will blow mainly northwesterly 3 and initially up to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to around 4 degrees inland, around 6 on the south and east coasts, around 8 on the rest of the coast and around 1 degree below zero in the higher mountains, where frost is expected to form.
On Friday, initially, there will be locally increased clouds mainly in the western half of the island where isolated rains are expected. Gradually the weather will become partly cloudy and temporarily mostly cloudy with local rains and snow in the higher mountains, with the effects in the afternoon being limited to the eastern half of the island.
On Saturday, initially, the weather will be mostly clear in several areas, while gradually the weather will become partly cloudy and temporarily mostly cloudy with isolated rains mainly in areas south of Troodos as well as in the mountains where there will be snowfall. There will be temporarily increased clouds on Sunday.
The temperature will not change significantly on Friday, while by Sunday there will be a significant drop to be well below the average climatic values.
The height of the snow in Troodos Square, at the time of issuance of the bulletin, was 46 cm.
