The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Greece amounted to 78, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 23,275 deaths have been recorded. At the same time, it was announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 19,584, of which 60 were identified after checks at the country's gates. The total number of cases is 1,909,880 (daily change + 1.0%), of which 49.8% are men.
Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 433 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,594 are related to an already known case.
In terms of deaths, 95.0% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 583 (60.2% men). Their median age is 66 years. 83.9% have an underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 464 (79.59%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 119 (20.41%) are fully vaccinated.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,033 patients have been discharged from the ICU. The admissions of new COVID-19 patients in the hospitals of the territory are 427 (daily change -9.53%). The average seven-day admission is 433 patients. The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
