The exemption request submitted by the "National Party – Greeks" was unanimously rejected. at the expense of three members of the composition of the Plenary of the A1 Political Department of the Supreme Court.

This Department of the Supreme Court is tasked with examining the legality of the parties' participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections of May 21, 2023 .

It is recalled that the "National Party – Greeks" founded by Ilias Kasidiaris, who has been convicted of running a criminal organization, submitted a request for the exemption of the three Areopagits, citing reports, which stated that the three judges held a pre-conference in order to prepare the rejection rationale for his party.

Now, the A1 Political Department of the Supreme Court is proceeding with the process for the declaration of the parties, combinations of parties and individual candidates that have applied to participate in the election of May 21, 2023. The declaration of the parties is expected on next Tuesday evening, May 2, 2023.
