An alarm has been sounded by the Fire Service after a fire broke out on Sunday afternoon in the area of Agios Nikolaos in Salamina.
According to relevant information, the fire is burning low vegetation, while both air and ground forces have been mobilized. More specifically, 35 firefighters with twelve vehicles, a group of pedestrians, a helicopter and two aircraft.

It is noted that the work of the fire brigade is hampered by strong winds that reach 6 Beaufort.
According to the first information from the Fire Department, the fire is close to a residential area and everything possible is being done to avoid danger.
