Another driver was stopped and arrested by members of the Police after he was driving his vehicle at a speed of over 100 kilometers, in an urban area where the speed limit is 50 kilometers per hour.
According to an announcement by the Police, on Archangelou Michael Avenue, in Strovolos, specifically, around 2.10 after midnight, the driver, 22 years old, was driving his vehicle at a speed of 115 kilometers, instead of up to 50 which is the maximum allowed limit on the avenue.
Members of the Nicosia Traffic Police who were conducting traffic checks in the area, stopped the vehicle and proceeded to arrest the 22-year-old, who was taken to the Agios Dometios Police Station, for the purpose of police investigations.
At the end of the examinations, the 22-year-old was charged in writing and released, to be summoned before a Court for trial.
