Harry and Megan spoke passionately about global vaccine equality last weekend in New York at Global Citizen Live in Central Park.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have called for an equal distribution of vaccines and called on world leaders and pharmaceutical companies to treat access to the Covid-19 vaccine as a “fundamental human right”.
“Everyone on this planet has a fundamental right to get this vaccine,” said Megan Markle. “That's the point. But this is not the case. “And while in this country and many others, you can go almost anywhere and get vaccinated, billions of people around the world can not.”
Prince Harry summed up the discussions he had about distributing vaccines with global health experts over the past year. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also met last week with world leaders in New York.
