How did Elizabeth react?
They named their daughter Lilibet
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they had given birth to Lilibet Diana, the British press wondered if they had asked Queen Elizabeth for advice on their daughter's name.
The Daily Mail reported that the couple had informed the queen but not in time, as the Palace was late in publishing its official announcement of the birth of Elizabeth's 11th granddaughter.
According to the official announcement of Harry and Meghan, they named their daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor to honor two important women in Harry's life, his grandmother and his mother.
Apart from the queen's caressing name, Lilibet is also very important to Meghan as her mother, Doria Ragland, called her 'flower' when she was little.
Meghan and little Lili have returned to the family home in California and as announced “they are healthy and well and are adjusting at home”.
