You are called to pay a heavy fine to a hotel in Paphos, after after a check of the Police yesterday it was found that an employee did not have SafePass. According to information, in addition, it was found that the hotel did not ask for SafePass customers, while it did not have any antiseptic at the entrance, as provided by the protocol of the Ministry of Health.
Meanwhile, a total of 23 citizens and 6 people in charge of the premises complained to the Police in the last 24 hours, in the context of a total of 3,949 nationwide checks regarding the observance of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus and the implementation of the decrees of the Infection Law.
According to a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, 1,461 checks were carried out in Nicosia, which resulted in a complaint against a person in charge of property, and 270 checks in Limassol, where 14 citizens were reported.
In Larnaca, out of a total of 557 inspections, three citizens were reported, in Paphos 372 inspections were carried out and one citizen and 5 heads of premises were reported, while in Famagusta 721 inspections were carried out and 5 citizens were reported. No complaints emerged from the 228 inspections carried out in Morphou.
The Traffic Police carried out 302 inspections throughout Cyprus, from which no complaints emerged.
