Εδωσε διευκρ&iota ;νΙσεις για την γραπτor εξΕταση τη ς Φυσικorς στο Γυμνσιο το ΥΠΑΝ /></p> <p><b>The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth made clarifications regarding the “Physics” course in High School and its written evaluation process after a meeting held on December 19 at the Ministry, with the participation of the Minister of Education Prodromos Prodromos, of the Directorate of Secondary Education and the Physics, Biology and Chemistry inspections.</b></p> <p>According to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Minister first asked for clarification as to whether the subject is considered, as provided by the Timetable and the regulations, one course or should be treated as three separate courses, adding that, by noting that it is considered as an exam subject because cumulative teaching hours in all three specializations are included, opinions were requested as to whether it should continue to be treated as a course of a total of four teaching periods, and therefore be examable and this should be done in a single exam, or will it be considered that these are three separate courses, of shorter teaching duration per class and thus do not seem to justify being exam courses. </p> <p>On the basis of the clarifications given and given the formation of the Clock Program that is in force, the Minister concluded that it is a course with uniform grading and as such it should be treated in the written evaluation as well, the announcement continues, adding that he subsequently requested if there are other proposals to be submitted subsequently by the Directorate of Secondary Education, in consultation with the inspectorates. </p> <p>As reported, Mr. Prodromou noted in this regard that the prevailing impression that three separate examination procedures should be planned and that the decision on the upcoming January 2023 assessments was made on a temporary and exceptional basis is incorrect, because it appears that during the in the past, different impressions were created, therefore, for the evaluation process of the 2nd semester 2022-2023, it is clarified from now on that there will be a unified evaluation of the Physics course and therefore, the Directorate of Secondary Education will proceed with similar planning. </p> <p>It is clarified that, given this state of affairs and as it follows from previous decisions on the Timetable, it is now up to the inspectorates to proceed with a consultation and come to a timely conclusion as to whether it is appropriate to prepare a single examination essay that will include the entire subject or whether it is considered preferable to submit separate essays for the majors, which however the students will be asked to complete in the context of a single examination process.</p> <p>It is also noted that in the second case, in consultation with the majors concerned, consideration should be given to that the students will each time have two or three separate essays in front of them, depending on the class, and that a proper assessment of the extent and specifications of each one and the distribution of the available time is made. </p> <p>At the same time , care will be taken from the inspections, so that the teachers in the schools also prepare the children accordingly for the written evaluation, the announcement concludes.</p> <p><noindex></p> <div class=Source: www.reporter.com.cy
