Serious questions are raised about the case of a naturalized person and what is recorded about him in the report of the research committee. This is a person who is wanted by the Russian authorities and has received from the Republic of Cyprus, in addition to a passport, three firearms licenses. One for him and two for the private guards of the Greek Cypriots, who are in charge of his personal security. The reason for the 40-year-old Russian businessman Dmitry Tsvetkov. The latter acquired Cypriot citizenship around 2016, and has been included among the “high risk” cases by the four-member “Investigative Committee of the Exceptional Naturalizations of Foreign Investors and Entrepreneurs”. His name is first found in the list of 195 serious cases prepared by the committee of Myron Nikolatos for the purpose of better evaluation of the files of the naturalized. And not only. In the interim report of the committee, special reference is made to it, in the chapter concerning the 49 cases for which the Council of Ministers can intervene by exercising the power of revocation of a passport.
The question
Nevertheless – and here the question arises – at the end of the interim report of the committee, in which suggestions are made for the cases of investors from whom the citizenship must be removed, his name is absent. There is no reference, except to his wife, with whom he is allegedly at odds, based on statements by him.

And yet, in a previous chapter of the report, the following was noted (we quote the same references): . In addition, with regard to her husband Dmitry Tsvetkov, on the basis of the information gathered concerning INTERPOL Moscow messages, the Council of Ministers may consider depriving him of his citizenship of the Republic under Article 113 (3).
