The “criminal court” of Kyrenia found Omer Tunds, Veysel Sare and Musa Cicek guilty of 17 charges
The three defendants were found guilty today of the murder of the Turkish Cypriot businessman Halil Falgyali and his driver, Murat Demirtas, committed on February 8, 2022 in the area of occupied Agios Epiktos.
The “criminal court” of Kyrenia found Omer Tunds, Veysel Sare and Musa Cicek guilty of 17 charges, including murder, illegal carrying of weapons and malicious damage.
The president of the “Court”, Banu Soyer, in her speech emphasized that the defendants, while they had the opportunity not to carry out their act, nevertheless proceeded to plan and execute the crime.
The announcement of the sentence of the three convicted is expected to take place tomorrow.
