The Hellenic Capital Market Commission responds to press releases. Today it became known that the Auditor General Odysseas Michailidis, after receiving a relevant anonymous complaint, asked for the cancellation of the farewell party that was being prepared for Dimitra Kalogirou, outgoing chairman of the Committee.

Regarding the farewell event that was planned in view of the departure of Ms. Dimitra Kalogirou from the chairmanship of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, after the end of her second and last term, we would like to note the following:
· The decision for the organization has been taken by the Council of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission in the absence of the Chairman from the specific meeting for obvious reasons.
· The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission fully respects and is in line with the recommendations of the Auditor General. The event has therefore been canceled.
· It is also noted that the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission has not incurred any expenses for the purposes of organizing the event.
